Music and Arts
Welcome to music and arts at Derry CHurch
Our Sanctuary Choir meets on Thursdays from 7-9 pm and sings most Sundays during the program year.
The Derry Ringers is our adult handbell choir that plays occasionally for 10:30 am worship. The group rehearses Tuesdays at 7:30 pm in the music room, September through May.
The Derry Brass, led by Scott Ramirez, is our volunteer brass ensemble. They play for worship roughly once a month.
For our younger friends, music happens as a part of Terrific Tuesday offered Tuesday evenings at 5:45 pm September through May. We sing with our pre-K and kindergarten friends, while our friends in grades 1-5 are playing handbells and hand chimes. Youth handbells and choirs are formed on an ad hoc basis.
We also have quarterly “Engage” services, which can be music-themed or more recently, live storytelling with Engage Stories.
We are fortunate to have many talented artists in the congregation; Room 6 features a gallery of paintings by our members and there are always opportunities for painters to connect.
