Bullying: Identification, Prevention and Support
From the playground to the Internet, bullying is a ubiquitous problem among school-age children. It's a problem many parents and school professionals have difficulty navigating. Led by Derry members Ingrid Krecko, PsyD, Clinical Psychologist, along with Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Valentin Krecko, MD, and Anne Krecko, this workshop aims to teach parents and adults how to identify and prevent bullying, and how to support children who become targets of bullying.
The workshop will begin with a brief presentation to define types of bullying, identify the consequences and risk factors for both perpetrators and victims of bullying, and provide suggestions for speaking with your children about bullying. After the presentation, the Kreckos will open the floor to questions and comments from attendees.
Bring a lunch or snack if you wish. Child care available for ages three and younger.
